Overview

Fast Learn Thai ("we", "us", "our") is a free Thai language learning platform. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights. We collect only what we need to run the service.

Information We Collect

Account information (signed-in users only)

When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google. We store this in our database to identify your account and display your name on the leaderboard if you choose.

Learning progress

We store the IDs of words you have marked as learned, your total word count, and a username for the leaderboard. Anonymous users get a randomly generated ID stored in their browser (localStorage); signed-in users have this data stored in our database (Cloudflare D1) linked to their account.

Country

We record the country code of your request (provided by Cloudflare's infrastructure) when your leaderboard entry is created. This is displayed as a flag next to your leaderboard position.

Contact form

If you use our contact form, we receive your name, email address, and message. We use this only to respond to your inquiry.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics (GA4) and PostHog to understand how people use the site. These services collect standard web analytics data including pages visited, session duration, and general location. Google Analytics data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.

How We Use Your Information

  • To save your quiz progress across sessions and devices
  • To display your position and username on the public leaderboard
  • To respond to your contact form messages
  • To understand how the site is used so we can improve it

We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, or share it with third parties except as described here (Google OAuth, Google Analytics, PostHog, Cloudflare).

Third-Party Services

Cookies and Local Storage

We use browser localStorage (not cookies) to store your quiz progress and anonymous user ID on your device. Analytics services (Google Analytics, PostHog) may set cookies to track sessions. You can clear localStorage and cookies at any time through your browser settings, which will reset your local progress.

Your Rights

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us. Leaderboard entries (username and word count) are public — you can request removal via our contact page.

If you are in the European Economic Area, you have rights under the GDPR including access, rectification, erasure, and data portability. Contact us to exercise these rights.

Data Retention

We retain your account and progress data for as long as your account exists. Anonymous leaderboard entries are retained indefinitely. Contact us to request deletion of your data.
